Before the Kitano Odori began, the newest geiko of Kamishichiken, Ichimame, performed a tea ceremony. She had her erikae on the 26th of February.
I was happy to get a picture of her, as there are very few good ones of her as a geiko in circulation at the moment. It was hard to get this shot, though, because the lighting in the room was very low (for effect I'm sure, but a part of me was convinced it was to inihibit photography). My camera had a hard time picking up the light, so I had to switch to flash which I always hate to do. I don't think my flash pictures have very good ambiance... |
