I was looking through my pictures from my stay in Japan, and I thought I should post some of the images I never used.
Temae is the act of peforming tea ceremony. Yukako was the otemae-san the day I attended the Miyako Odori, and the blurry Ichiwaka behind her was the helper. I love it when the geiko use their own hair instead of using a wig, and that turned out collar is so beautiful. I also love the plethora of kimono and fabric in this shot, from Yukako in the fore, Ichiwaka behind her, a maid in third, and a kichou curtain in the back. Love it.
