Artist's Comments

Probably the best part of my whole ensemble was the obi. Isn't it gorgeous?

Ahhh, the maple leaves catch the light so well. And the creater of this masterpiece was brilliant, because he had the foresight to put the design on a jewel-toned dark blue instead of black. The golds and reds really pop because of it.

Also, my otaiko musubi looks like an otaiko musubi!! First time in my life.

That kimono looks great. Very detailed and very beautiful. You very lucky to have it.
Thank you!

My otaiko musubi started off looking very Taisho so I kept at, even though I can tie it straight I prefer it tilted. Influence of ol'Iki d'ya reckon?

Ahh, to be iki... I'm still trying to get enough skill so that I can actually be staunch. I do sometimes get a nice iki effect in the front because the underlayer of my obi can be seen. It's not intentional though. You should post some kitsuke pictures.

I should but my camera has lost it's connection cord thingy. That and the fact I'm not all that keen on having my photo taken.

Understandable. The only time I'm willing to go in front of a camera in in kimono.
